Read the methods before the headline

Look for who was enrolled, what was compared, and what was actually measured. A conference abstract is not a finished paper.

Separate the claim from the result

Marketing often stretches a mechanism into a promise. If the paper did not measure the outcome in humans, this site will not call it proven.
